Cowgirl Coding Camp

A Workshop for Intermediate-School/Middle-School/Junior-High Girls.

The history of women in the west, and women who worked on cattle ranches in particular, is not as well documented as that of men. However, institutions such as the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame have made significant efforts in recent years to gather and document the contributions of women.

While urban women were serving more traditional female roles, women of the American West were roping and riding broncs.  Display your own courage and pioneering spirit by coding your own original web pages using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Then learn to design and embed your code into an original WordPress web site celebrating the American Cowgirl! This camp is also open to students wanting to learn art, photography, and design skills. Make your own cowgirl superheros web site!

And learn about the American West and female pioneers, artists, writers, entertainers, humanitarians, business women, educators, ranchers and rodeo cowgirls.

No prior experience required. More information will follow in Spring 2020.
